Seminggu setelah memperkenalkan versi terbarunya yaitu Chrome 14, Google kini telah merilis calon penerus untuk versi selanjutnya yaitu Chrome 15 Beta dan Chrome 16 Dev. Jika berminat para pecinta Chrome kini dapat melakukan pengujian Google Chrome 16.0.889.0 Dev yang telah menggunakan javascript terbaru V8 3.6.4.0, tetapi hanya untuk Windows atau Mac OS X dan belum tersedia untuk Linux karena masih ada beberapa bug yang perlu diperbaiki.
Selain Chrome 16.0.889.0 Dev, Google juga meluncurkan Chrome Beta 15.0.874.24 untuk Windows dan Mac OS X, sertaversi 15.0.874.21 untuk Linux dan telah menggunakan API Javascript Fullscreen serta melakukan perombakan pada bagian New Tab sehingga memungkinkan pengguna dengan mudah mengakses situs pilihan mereka.
Untuk versi final yaitu Google Chrome 14.0.835.163 telah dilakukan beberapa perbaikan di antaranya :
- Race condition in the certificate cache.
- Infobar the Windows Media Player plug-in to avoid click-free access to the system Flash.
- Treat MIME type more authoritatively when loading plug-ins. .
- Crash in v8 script object wrappers.
- Possible URL bar spoofs with unusual user interaction.

- Out-of-bounds read with media buffers.
- Out-of-bounds read with mp3 files.
- Use-after-free in unload event handling.
- Use-after-free in document loader.
- URL bar spoof with forward button.
- Browser NULL pointer crash with WebSockets.
- Out-of-bounds read in box handling.
- Out-of-bounds read with Khmer characters.
- Out-of-bounds read in video handling.
- Off-by-one in v8.
- Use-after-free in plug-in handling.
- Use-after-free in ruby / table style handing.
- Stale node in stylesheet handling.

- Incorrect permissions assigned to non-gallery pages.
